Supply Chain Management

When evaluating suppliers, the “New Supplier Evaluation Form” and “New Supplier Hazardous Substance Process Management (HSPM) Evaluation Form” must be completed. New suppliers or existing suppliers providing new materials must follow the provisions of the “Raw Material Approval Management Procedure” to complete material approval and sign the company’s “Environmental Declaration” before being included in the “Qualified Supplier List.”

Supplier Evaluation

When evaluating suppliers, the “New Supplier Evaluation Form” and “New Supplier Hazardous Substance Process Management (HSPM) Evaluation Form” must be completed. New suppliers or existing suppliers providing new materials must follow the provisions of the “Raw Material Approval Management Procedure” to complete material approval and sign the company’s “Environmental Declaration” before being included in the “Qualified Supplier List.”

Material Approval

During the raw material approval stage, suppliers are required to sign an “Environmental Declaration” according to the provisions of the “Raw Material Approval Management Procedure.” If customers request it or if there are changes in environmental regulations related to the product, an “Environmental Management Substance Survey Form” is used to conduct an investigation of new or changed environmental management substances. Suppliers are required to re-sign the “Environmental Declaration” annually. All materials involving controlled, toxic, and hazardous substances must comply with applicable regulations (e.g., RoHS).

Product Procurement Control

To effectively achieve environmental policy goals and reduce environmental impact, the company prioritizes the procurement of green products and follows the provisions of the “Raw Material Procurement Management Procedure” during product procurement.

Supplier Guidance

The company conducts two different audit forms based on the quality system certification status of suppliers:

  • 1. If the supplier has obtained ISO9001 certification but has not obtained ISO/TS16949 certification, the audit is conducted using “Supplier Audit Form A.”
  • 2. If the supplier has not obtained ISO9001 certification, the audit is conducted using “Supplier Audit Form B.”
  • 3. All suppliers are audited using the “Supplier Hazardous Substance Process Management (HSPM) Audit Form.”
  • 4. Audit issues are recorded in the “Supplier Evaluation (Audit) Issue Improvement Report,” which encourages suppliers to make improvements. When auditing supplier product quality management systems, relevant process monitoring should be encouraged.

Environmental Operation Control Monitoring and Communication

For suppliers, contractors, or subcontractors conducting operations within the company that are identified to cause significant environmental impacts, the company’s “Regulations for the Entry of External Personnel (Construction Contractors)” should be included in the contract. Relevant operation controls and requirements, such as “Environmental Considerations Assessment with Attached List” and “Precautions for Vendor Entry,” are placed in the security office to be conveyed to supplier, contractor, or subcontractor construction personnel. After familiarizing themselves, they must sign the “Visitor/Meeting Request Form” one by one. This allows for effective control or reduction of environmental impact when engaging in related activities within the company premises. When suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors perform construction activities within the company, on-site personnel must accompany and supervise throughout to reduce the frequency of accidents.
